Job Description:

Documentation of project plans and supporting documentation and ensures that assigned projects meet strategic business objectives for clients. The Project Manager works closely with business users to evaluate, recommend, and implement technical and process solutions to enhance business value of operations and assists in the decision-making process by providing complete, current, reliable, and objective information.

  • Manage all components to deliver an integrated software technology solution from initiation through closeout.
  • Work with vendor project teams and SI's to ensure deliverables and timelines are being met
  • Effectively identify, prioritize, and translate business goals/objectives into information technology strategies/solutions
  • Work with customers to identify high-level business requirements
  • Lead analysis for IT project teams.  
  • Interact with business partners through process modeling to understand, identify, and define project scope and cost estimates 
  • Monitor key project parameters, measure and report on project earned value management, and time and materials-based project budget.
  • Engage with project team comprised of 3rd party SI and internal business and IT stakeholders, and act as a liaison between all parties.
  • Provide thought leadership via recommendations to course correct project challenges.
  • Lead tactical project meetings to update risks, actions, issues and decisions in coordination with the EPMO and 3rd party SI PM
  • Publish internal project status reports and participate in monthly project health briefings for project sponsorship and stakeholders
  • Track project deliverables for technology vendor and system integrator, ensure deliverables are being met with clear acceptance criteria
  • Work with project Quality Assurance team to track software-testing plans, quality metrics, and manage to a quality bar for go-live.
  • Ability to align with EPMO industry best practices following PMI framework.

Requirements:

  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience in utilities, customer service and billing, and CIS systems preferred
  • 5-7 years directly related experience
  • Superior communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Good understanding of the project life-cycle
  • Proficient with all the Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel 
  • Demonstrated ability to track and drive issues to resolution
  • Good soft skills and an ability to deal with ambiguity
  • The person in this roll will need to have outstanding customer service and communication skills.
  • Preferred experience with MS Project
  • Experience managing all phases (Initiation, Planning, Execution, and Closure) large, enterprise level ERP or cloud projects
  • Contracts / legal / vendor management experience
  • Strong technology / network/security systems background preferred
  • Familiar with key project knowledge areas as defined by PMI industry standard.  PMP or equivalent level of proven proficiency
