Job Description

Volt is seeking an individual for a Sr. Project Management Liaison role to support site leadership. The organization made up of approximately 250 employees supporting programs specializing in developing innovative new technologies and performing quick-reaction prototyping for Missile Systems. To support these employees and to operate effectively, there are several strategic responsibilities that are filled by the Sr. Project Management Liaison. These tasks include, Hiring, Manpower Planning and Forecasting, Metrics Collection and Analysis, and periodic site wide communication. The individual in this role will work closely with the Leadership Team, in support of the tasks above as well as other strategic staffing projects.

MANPOWER PLANNING:

  • Conduct weekly meetings with Department Managers to determine manpower needs and how to meet these needs and develop forecasts based on these needs. Will ensure continuous forecasting and staffing goals are communicated and achieved.

HIRING:

  • Work with the Talent Acquisition team to generate requisitions, insure progress of candidate review, scheduling interviews and ultimately support acquiring top talent. The role will engage and be accountable for strategic staffing goals, hiring events, internships, new employee orientation and new employee integration
  • Metric Collection and Analysis: Collect monthly staffing metrics and analyze data, determine which metrics should collect, report staffing metrics monthly
  • Communication: periodic directorate wide messaging
  • Meeting and Presentation Support: Support by generating presentations to support Directorate communication

ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in the following areas: Business, Communications, Education, Human Resources, Engineering, or other Technical discipline
  • Four (4) years of professional experience in Manpower Planning, Project Management, Operations Management, Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, or other related disciplines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.)

DESIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • Five or more years of experience
  • Technical/engineering background
  • Experience in hiring, talent acquisition, and development
  • Leadership experience
  • Experience working in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Self-Starter who is able to work with little supervision
