Purchasing Admin

This client is currently looking for a qualified Purchasing Admin for their South Houston location. Candidates will be expected to: Request quotes and procure therequested material after completion of approval process

Assist Purchasing team with vendor delivery updates on a weekly basis in order to update our internal and external customers.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Assigns purchase requisitions and generates purchase orders for maintenance, shipping, IT and Engineering related services.
  • Secures and analyzes quotations, negotiates prices and terms with suppliers, and recommends suppliers with respect to cost, quality and delivery competitiveness for assigned responsibilities.
  • Keeps track of multiple requisitions and distributes them to the Purchasing agents.
  • Expedites purchased components/services and works with our suppliers on past due orders.
  • Maintains and updates vendor’s quality records in our share drive and quality system.
  • Issues all third party purchase orders (ABS & DNV)
  • Knows and understands Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the QMS.
  • Comply with all health and safety rules
  • Ensures compliance and maintaining the processes/procedures of the WOM management systems, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
  • Comply with all environmental, health and safety rules


  • High School diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a Purchasing related role.
  • Syteline or SAP experience preferred but not required.
  • Proficient in MS Office required.
