Job description :

Assumes responsibility for processing of all EDI customer orders.

Job Duties

  • Processes orders into ERP System and sends to Warehouse or Supplier for processing 
  • Acknowledges all orders within 24 hours of receipt. 
  • Checks orders for accuracy by verifying price, cost, inventory, addresses, shipping method, and minimums 
  • Act as a problem solver and liaison between customers and supply chain, while promoting an interactive relationship with operations and sales to quickly solve issues impacting customer. 
  • Allocates products when in short supply, and works closely with Purchasing of any inventory issues
  • Expected to maintain a high accuracy level in regards to order processing and communication of all kinds 
  • Monitor and assist the shipping warehouses with order shipment related issues to ensure proper processing of customer orders.
  • Arranging and managing deliveries with carriers from origin to destination to ensure customer satisfaction 
  • Assumes responsibility for effectively performing miscellaneous customer service functions
  • Researches shipping discrepancies by requesting cycle counts 
  • Supports decisions made by manager that could affect productivity of the department 
  • Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining professional working relations with customers
  • Resolves questions, requests, and problems promptly and courteously 
  • Keeps customers informed of Company policies, status of their orders, procedures, shortages, price changes and FOB changes 
  • Month end follow ups and assists Supervisor with closing 
  • Maintain SOP’s and Special Customer Notes

Qualifications/ Education

  • High School Graduate or Associates Degree
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in order processing/logistics role
