Job Description

Position: QA CAPA Coordinator

Location: West Caldwell, NJ

Status: Direct Hire


The CAPA Coordinator is responsible to ensure that standardized methods and procedures are used for efficient and effective handling of CAPAs.

  • Lead an effective deployment of the internal CAPA System
  • First point of contact for new requests for CAPAs
  • Follow up on CAPA status and commitments
  • Provides relevant notifications to functional areas regarding CAPAs implementation and closure
  • Manage filing of the completed and closed CAPAs in the system
  • Support the proper and timely processing of CAPAs through the CAPA System by monitoring and reporting metrics
  • Host sitewide and targeted CAPA meetings with multiple functional area CAPA owners
  • Verify effectiveness of completed CAPAs
  • Compile data and CAPA Summaries for the Annual Product Reviews and Quality KPI Metrics
  • Other related duties as assigned/delegated by Manager.


  • BA or BS degree in a scientific discipline.
  • At least 7 years of experience in Quality Assurance in Pharmaceutical industry, preferably in Investigation/CAPA managing capacity
  • Working knowledge of cGMP, USP, EP and CFR requirements and regulations
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point
  • Ability to influence and motivate participants from all the levels that do not report to them but are critical to the success of the process
  • Excellent reading, writing and verbal skills
