Job Description

Development Support testers are responsible for directly following up with product features for testing, verification, and responding to requests from the Developer Team. As a Development Support, you will become a knowledge base for your product area and able to understand the ins-and-outs of how the feature should work, and that it launches on time with fewest issues possible.

PIN Team
The PIN is a central telemetry organization that builds and support central systems. This is a fast-growing team that is looking for technically minded Development Support testers to assist with the creation of new processes and providing technical expertise to other QA teams.

Key Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Review quality strategies from different QA teams for telemetry verification
  • Review test plans and test cases for telemetry testing from different QA teams
  • Follow up with QA teams on verification progress and provide reporting
  • Provide telemetry verification expertise and knowledge to QA teams
  • Triage automated telemetry testing reports to identify potential data quality issues
  • Track and report on data quality issues centrally for all PIN stakeholders
  • Identify new, creative methods to increase telemetry testing efficiency
  • Execute queries on data sets to find data quality risks that escaped verification
  • Enhance existing telemetry quality processes

Who you Are 

  • Graduate in Computer Science, Computer Programming, or equivalence.
  • Must have 1+ years of experience in SQL and relational database.
  • Experience working with Java and web development.
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic, able to meet responsibilities without constant supervision.
  • Capable of understanding complex features/systems and how it applies to the product.
  • Good understanding of software quality assurance concepts, debugging processes and practices
  • Demonstrated analytical skills in root cause analysis
  • Strong ability to self-manage and prioritize work effectively within deadlines
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audience
  • Ability to work independently with minimal outside supervision

Additional Benefits

  • Good understanding of RESTful API a plus
  • Quality Assurance experience in software development.
  • Experience with working in an Agile environment is preferred
  • Computer Science background and/or Game Design Diploma or equivalent.
