The Team is looking for a quality assurance engineer to join our group. Responsibilities include functional, regression, ad-hoc and compatibility testing of the iTunes U and Podcasting sections of the iTunes Store. This testing also includes device and web based applications.

Day to day work would also include bug reporting and isolation, test plan documentation, and working closely with other teams (engineering, project management, etc.). This position requires a self-motivated individual with strong technical and communication skills who can contribute in a team environment.

- Strong QA Automation experience.
- Proven bug detection and regression skills
- Thorough knowledge of Mac OS X, mobile products, and Windows platforms
- Strong analytical, problem solving and creative thinking skills
- Must be excellent at verbal and written communication
- Dedication to user-focused design & high quality technology
- Strong commitment to technical quality assurance as a key part of the development cycle
- Willingness to work cross-functionally with other teams to make all products and deployments seamless for our customers

Desired skills:
* 3 + years of experience
* Experience with automation scripting (Bash, Perl, PHP, Python/Ruby, etc).
* Experience or knowledge of Mac OS X, iOS and Windows operating systems
* Knowledge of key architecture components (HTTP, HTML, SSL, SQL, audio/video file specifications and formats).
* Comfortable creating and editing RSS and Podcast feeds
* Experience or knowledge of Windows debugging and automation tools
* Comfortable with Unix, shell scripting and using the UNIX command line

- BSCS or equivalent work experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- White box and black box testing experience.
- Attention to detail and an unwillingness to settle for a product that is just "good enough."
