Job Description

Volt Workforce Solutions is recruiting for a QA Engineer role for a client located in Hillsboro, OR.  This is 6-9 months contingent role with a potential to extend. We are among the largest IT recruitment firms in the US for contingent/temporary and direct hire placements and support most of the top-rated IT companies in the Pacific Northwest.

The ideal candidate has experience with QA automation: Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server (TFS) (or other source control), Selenium, C#, as well as experience with ETL, SQL Server, API/Web Services testing.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain test plans and procedures for system integration. Perform usability testing for total system performance, reliability, scalability, and security. Maintain a record of test progress and test results. Write test cases or test scenarios that align to business requirements, functional specifications, release notes, use cases and/or user stories.
  • Test business applications following detailed test cases and scripts in an effort to identify software defects through manual or automated tests.
  • Identify, investigate, report and track defects to resolution.
  • Participate in multiple concurrent testing efforts.
  • Assist with departmental documentation as needed.
  • Provide clear and concise status back to project team and department management.
  • Provide input to Test Approaches, Test Plans and Release Findings according to department standards.
  • Ensure accurate, timely and tested releases are implemented into the production environment.
  • Develop an understanding of company’s business applications and system components.

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant equivalent work experience
  • 1 – 3 years financial or banking experience.
  • Experience working with technology teams in a testing role.
  • Experience with testing methodologies.
  • Ability to work in a team and autonomously as needed.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Ability to quickly learn new business applications.
  • Ability to train and present to small and large audiences or has the interest in learning to train and present.
