Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician II

12 month contract; Tewksbury, MA

As a Quality Assurance Technician will ensure the production of quality products. In this role you will be responsible for performing a variety of duties to support and exceed our customer requirements for safe, accurate and compliant portable analytical instruments. Other responsibilities may include supporting the Quality Management System, as determined by the Quality Manager.                                                                         

Responsibilities:           

  • Outgoing Quality Control – utilize required tools to conduct final QC tests and inspection of finished goods, software and standards per established procedures or inspection plans and release product in ERP system
  • Assist and work within other Quality Assurance areas such as visually inspecting and testing non-conforming components or PCBs
  • Generate and update documentation required by QA/Operations to ensure processes and products are fit for purpose
  • Initiate non-conformance reports and/or assist with root cause investigations as required
  • Participate in and support site continuous improvement efforts (PPI)
  • Support plant-wide activities and special projects, as assigned to meet business needs
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures and practice all behaviors in a safe and environmentally responsible manner

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in related QA/QC setting or equivalent combination of experience and education (Associate degree preferred).
  • Experience using soldering techniques a huge plus
  • Must possess self-motivation and the ability to work on projects or routine analysis with limited instruction or supervision.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy of work and a willingness to learn.
  • Must have intermediate computer skills, preferably with MS Office Suite
