Job Description

QA Test Reporter Writer

I have an open position for one of my clients in Kent, Washington who is seeking a QA Test Reporter Writer for a contract hire role.

Job Function/Purpose:

To write short summaries and compile test data into qualification test results

Responsibilities:

  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Describe test set-ups as required
  • Communicate & coordinate with QA and test staff
  • Deliver reports in a timely manner to meet project deadlines

Requirements:

  • Experience writing test reports
  • Familiarity with electronic testing

Excellent MS Office skills

There will be no testing conducted by the individual, rather this is about taking data that others provide and getting it into presentable formats.  There isn’t really any hardcore writing, as documenting test setups and putting pictures and data into a handful of formats is the core of the work.  Much language comes directly from those providing data (test results), and some language is cut and paste.  There is going to be some variation from different types of test reports (we have a small number of different types depending on the tests).  The keys are knowing how and where to get the data and understanding where it goes in each report.  It will take someone who is good with details and has some initiative.  There are examples of these test reports to review, and Alex can help with making sure the formatting and places to drop data in reports is understood.  I expect they will need to be working co-located with a coworker (probably in the conformity room), and sometimes in the lab.
