Volt has an IMMEDIATE OPENING for a QC Lab Technician!! APPLY NOW

In this role, you will be responsible for testing batch samples per our Product Specification Sheets. Test batches that have overpulls/underpulls, hold them for a 24-hour adhesion test and lock them using WMS to prevent them from being shipped. Must have the ability to make accurate decisions to accommodate production quality and production schedules. Data entry for month end reports, such as scale calibration records, batch records, overpull/underpull sheets, etc. using JDE. Update production recipes & raw materials using FCRs & FCNs using Noltec to implement new raw materials and make production recipes. Test all grout batches for color/appearance using the Hunter Lab equipment making any color adjustments/pre-adjustments when necessary to get better/faster productivity.

Requirements:

  • A degree in any type of scienceĀ is required and qualified candidates must be flexible with their schedule as this position has a lot of overtime.
  • Minimum 2+ years experience in a Lab or q Tech environment
  • Previous QC or Lab experience working with grout, mortar or cement
  • Experience with Noltec is a strong plus.
  • Ability to work 4x10 schedule and OT as needed
  • Experience with JDE is a strong plus
  • Computer experience; Data Entry

Pay/Compensation:

Pay will be depending on experience. Open to negotiation if qualified for the role.

Shifts/Hours:

2nd shift: 4:00pm to 2:30am on the 4/10 schedule; Monday-Thursday with OT as needed

Qualifications:

  • Must meet pre-employment screening/drug test, background screening and e-verify
  • Good judgment, creative, flexible, and innovative team player
  • Able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
  • Walk, kneel, squat, bend, stand for entire shift.
  • Reach, Twist, Lift and carry up to 25-75 pounds.
  • Operate a hand jack/pallet jack
