Job Description

Currently seeking a QMS Technicians for levels I, II, and III for a Defense company in the Anaheim CA area.

Qualified candidate will be responsible for all supporting activity to provide product that meets the client’s requirements on-time and in accordance with the ISO 9001 / AS9100 Quality Management Systems.

Responsibilities

Level I

  • Assure that all products are built to the highest standard of quality in accordance with the Quality Policy and AS9100 procedures.
  • Perform in-process inspections, FAIs and/or final inspections on manufactured product, work in progress, and raw materials.
  • Inspect incoming materials per established procedure(s).
  • Ensure manufactured parts meet specified standards and drawings.
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing information.
  • Demonstrate proficient use of basic inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, height gages, etc.
  • Interpret drawings and recognize critical, major and minor characteristics.
  • Maintain the calibration system for all inspection and measuring instrumentation and recall of tools.
  • Maintain and, assist and coordinate organization, cleanliness, and identification practices in all areas of the Organization.
  • Support supplier quality initiatives.
  • Use initiative, imagination and knowledge to assist in the fabrication of testing and inspection procedures.
  • Perform internal audits based on established QMS criteria.
  • Demonstrate ability to utilize Quality-related SAP functions (QA32, MIGO, etc.).

Level II (must meet all of Level I requirements)

  • Demonstrate ability to create testable weld test/hardness samples of consumable products (rod, electrodes, etc.).
  • Troubleshooting welding equipment and parameters.
  • Demonstrate regularity in maintenance of welding equipment and consumable materials.
  • Troubleshooting welding equipment and parameters.
  • Accuracy, conciseness and completeness in the population of all quality-related records (certifications, AS9102 Forms, inspection reports, test reports, etc.).
  • Demonstrate thoroughness in the identification of all requirements when requesting and coordinating verification activities (receiving inspection, non-destructive testing).
  • Effective and regular coordinating with other functional departments to resolve internal/external issues without direct supervision.
  • Demonstrate excellent knowledge of QMS, customer requirements, industry standards (Mil-Spec, SAE, nuclear), internal procedures, work instructions.
  • Demonstrate effective planning and scheduling of master melts to meet foundry demand and chemistry requirements per specifications and standards and delivery times.
  • Troubleshooting lab measurement equipment such as OES, Carbon Analyzer, and Nitrogen Tester.

Level III (must meet all of Level I and II requirements)

  • Demonstrate ability to coordinate effective 8D Corrective Action resolution within 30 days.
  • Demonstrate ability to perform effective audits without direct supervision.
  • Demonstrate ability to effectively identify, investigate risks to the QMS.
  • Demonstrate ability to host audit activities.

Education and Experience

  • Demonstrate basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Demonstrate basic math skills.
  • Demonstrate excellent reading and comprehension skills.
  • Demonstrate excellent attention to detail.
  • Must be organized
