NOW HIRING - QA SUPERVISOR  

Location          Visalia, CA

Department     Regulatory and Quality Assurance                            

Reports to       Quality Assurance Manager

Steadily growing since 1999, we are a $4B, US manufacturer of dairy products now seeking a QA Supervisor with leadership experience. This is an exciting opportunity with excellent growth potential and excellent benefits.                                                                                                                                                                     

Minimum Requirements

  • A BS degree in Dairy, Food Science or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in a leadership role; or an equivalent combination of education and experience are required in five (5) out of the last ten (10) years.
  • Excellent English: college level verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good math reasoning required and advanced computational skills
  • Excellent organizational and follow through skills.
  • Ability to self-direct work to a timely completion

Essential Functions

Assist the QA Manager with the following duties:

  • Aid in the review of microbiology test results daily and further investigate high counts.  Physically inspect known of likely trouble points of potential contamination with production management.
  • Aid in root cause analysis exercises pertaining to out of specification product, foreign material findings, and/or environmental contamination which may include swabbing and other follow-up activities. May be assigned corrective actions and may have to assign them out. See that those corrective actions are completed
  • Aid in the review of plant documents and equipment inspections such as dryers after major washes to ensure all procedures are being followed and equipment cleaning properly and documented properly, and dry areas are dry.
  • Review that animal feed in being categorized and labeled properly.
