Job Description

Volt Workforce Solutions is looking for Quality Assurance Technician to Assist Quality Manager, Quality Engineer and/or Quality Technician in developing, maintaining, and auditing the operations and support processes and systems that are intended to assure the quality of the products manufactured.

Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician


Work Hours: 8:30 am to 5:30 pm or 9:00 am to 6:00 pm

Steel toe shoes required (with puncture resistance insoles)


Continuous Improvement:

  • Actively contribute to teams in leadership or participant role using one or more methodologies (PDCA, 8D, Phillip Crosby, GRR, FMEA, Lean or Six Sigma) to achieve the objectives of the corporate Quality Policy.


  • Prepare and publish timely reports describing contributions to business, using suitable formats for communication, supported by knowledge of methods for data collection, mining and analysis.


  • Prepare a plan for area of responsibility that uses SMART Goals; effectively and efficiently manage multiple tasks, projects and responsibilities on a daily basis.

Technical Knowledge:

  • Meet or exceed competency levels for primary and back-up work assignments; ensure that backup(s) are capable to do the job in event of absence.
  • Prepare and conduct training sessions addressing relevant issues, with operators, testers and other personal as required.

ISO Quality Management Systems:

  • Have knowledge of the QMS, know areas of system that apply to assigned area of responsibility, keep authored procedures current and create new as needed.

Control of Non-Conforming Material/Hold Administration:

  • Hold Tag and integrated Material Return Authorization, Material Review Board and Return to Vendor Systems: Plan, organize, document and execute systems in a timely, accurate manner, assuring applicable areas are in compliance with SOX.


  • Broad knowledge of CiC and BiMetals products and operations preferred.
  • Previous QC auditing and corrective action experience preferred. 
  • Must be detail oriented for conducting audits and creating reports.
  • Excellent math, verbal and written skills required.
  • Proficient computer skills required.
  • Microsoft Word and Excel experience required.
  • Microsoft Power Point experience preferred.

Excellent attendance and work record required.

Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision.
