Volt Workforce Solutions is seeking a Quality Control Supervisor who has a background that includes working to ensure quality products are produced and standards are met. Must be a working, collaborative team player.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Reviews quality of product and works with manufacturing teams within assigned areas.
  • Follows up with quality inspection team to make sure test plans and procedures are consistently being used.
  • Will be on the shop floor with the team working hand in hand.
  • Throughout inspection process keeps engineering and manufacturing teams aware of any issues that have been found. Works with team to find and implement resolution.
  • Always researching and identifying improvements for test and inspection. Updates the documentation with changes and new processes.
  • Responsible for issuing and distributing products once quality control inspection is successfully completed based on sales orders scheduled in the monthly production plan.
  • Assess and archive final shipping paper work and quality records as each sales order is ready for shipment.
  • In charge of work load scheduling of the Quality Control inspection team.
  • Responsible for performance evaluations, mentoring, and coaching.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/education combination
  • 7 years of Quality Control or testing experience
  • 3 years of direct supervisor experience
  • 5 years of experience in an electronics and/or mechanical assembly environment
  • Mid-volume (e.g. Hundreds of units per month), high mix manufacturing environment background.
  • Proven ability to meet and sustain high quality standards.
  • Hands on knowledge of applicable ISO, Six Sigma, and MIL standards for Quality Control.
  • Basic mechanical inspection experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
  • Experience with simple electronic measurement instruments
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
  • Ability to lift and carry 35 pounds of test equipment at least 40 feet
  • Touch typist – minimum of 25 to 30 WPM
