Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $14.20 /hour

Second Shift: 3:30 pm -12:00 am

Experience:

  • Quality Control: 3 years (Preferred)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Performs in-process, final inspections and accept/reject criteria on machined parts; conducts visual and dimensional verification of compliance with engineering requirements.
  • Proficient with inspection tools and best practices i.e. Height gage, callipers, micrometers, tool point fixtures etc.
  • Determines appropriate setups and measurement protocols to measure the accuracy of exacting tolerances and numerous dimensions.
  • Reads, understands and interprets geometric, dimensioning and tolerance (ANSI Y 14.5) drawings and specifications to ensure accurate and efficient measurement of parts; determines method and sequence necessary to perform inspections.
  • Completion of pertinent data records including job log entry in Smarter manager, travellers, inspection logs, in-process/final inspection plans and customer specific requirements.
  • Interacts with customer representatives during First Article Inspection, audits, and source inspection
  • Proficient in the requirements of First Articles per AS9102
  • Maintains accurate record of inspections; prepares non-conformance reports.
  • Ensures effective communication between manufacturing and applicable support departments.
  • Establishes and maintains safety operations by adhering to procedures and policies.
  • Completes housekeeping around work areas as assigned.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Able to work in a production and office environment.
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong reasoning and math skills
  • Able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
  • Able to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, manufacturing outline techniques, and shop travelers and final inspection plans
  • Willing to work overtime when needed.
  • Comply with company and departmental policies and procedures, including company's attendance policy.
