Job Description

Volt Workforce Solutions is seeking Quality Inspectors for our client in the Andover, MA area.

An Active US Government Security Clearance is required.

Required Skills:

  • 6+ years of general hardware quality inspection experience with a minimum of 3+ experience inspecting/manufacturing printed circuit board assemblies (surface mount technology and thru-hole technology)
  • J-STD-001 (preferred) or IPC-A-610 Industry Certification
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment with accept and reject criteria for general quality workmanship.
  • Experience working with assembly build processes, interpreting drawings and/or contractual flow down
  • Prior experience as an Inspector or CEA.
  • Must be able to read and perform inspections using assembly instructions and engineering drawings.
  • Must be able to perform configuration verification of all levels of assemblies/hardware.
  • Must know how to verify that all operations have been completely performed and accepted, including but not limited to acceptance testing.
  • Must be proficient in the understanding of torque and assembly methods/processes.
  • Must be able to inspect/evaluate per drawing, specifications, and supplemental documentation in order to determine hardware acceptance/rejection.
  • Experience using calibrated inspection measurement tools such as: micrometers, calipers, microscope, ruler, etc.
  • Applicant should be able to pass an eye examination; critical for quality assurance inspection.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience working in a Represented Workforce environment
  • Electro-mechanical manufacturing background
  • ASQ certified Inspector
  • Associate’s Degree or related experience with certification

Required Education (including Major):

  • High School Diploma or (GED)
