Job Description

Volt has partnered with a Manufacturing company in Somerset, NJ. They are the leading providers of high quality plastics and packaging components. 


We are in need of a Quality Coordinator who will be responsible for implementing ISO and food safety processes under direction of the Quality Manager.

This is a 1st shift role. | Mon – Fri: 7:30am – 4pm 

Pay: $20-25/hr

Responsibilities include but not limited to: 

  • Perform and maintain records on internal audits in support of the ISO 9001 quality system standard and ISO 22000 food safety management system standard
  • Examine company processes to determine and ensure they follow ISO standards
  • Ensure all necessary ISO documentation is completed
  • Maintain and control IQMS Document Control Libraries related to work instructions and job descriptions
  • Assign new document numbers to core procedures, exhibits, work instructions, and forms
  • Perform process and product audits.
  • Monitor weekly GMP and PRP audits and identify trends in non-conformances
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective action programs.
  • Monitor and verify activities to ensure that all maintenance work in the facility meet food safety standards in addition to quality standards.
  • Comply with all company food safety and quality assurance procedures and complete documentation correctly.

Requirements:

  • Relative experience in a manufacturing environment or related discipline.
  • A willingness to advance skill set through internal and external training opportunities.
  • Plastic injection molding experience highly desired.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality System Standards is required.
  • Basic math skills required.
  • Basic measuring skills required.
  • A basic understanding of instrument calibration is required.
  • A basic to intermediate knowledge of an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. IQMS experience is highly beneficial.
  • Self-motivated, energetic, flexible and resourceful.
  • Experience with report writing, outlook communications and excel spreadsheets.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
  • FSSC 22000 Standard is a HUGE PLUS!!!
