Job Description

Quality Director (6-month contract)       

Shift: 1st shift:  8:00AM – 4:30PM

Pay: $45 (+) / hour D.O.E.

Location: Roseville


  • B.S. degree in Chemistry or a Science related field
  • 5-10 years of work experience in Quality Assurance preferably within the pharmaceutical/food industry
  • Minimum of 3 years of Quality management/supervisory experience
  • A working knowledge of FDA, cGMP, (SQF), and ISO 9001-2008 requirements
  • Familiar with USP, EP, JP test requirements
  • Strong knowledge of analytical test methodology and ability to analyze/interpret test results
  • Must be able to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment, and ensure timely completion of responsibilities
  • Must demonstrate active listening, problem solving, and relationship skills
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel
  • Must have the ability to work at a high level of accuracy and timeliness

Job Description:

Personnel Management:

  • Manage and support the Quality department for the northern region including Minneapolis, Rosemount, Red Rock, Terminal 1 and Terminal 2
  • Represent and champion the Quality team

QMS Development and Implementation:

  • Manage the timely disposition of quality materials and documentation for the northern region
  • Drive QMS compliance at all facilities in the region
  • Responsible for coordinating and facilitating resolution of quality concerns and issues
  • Act as key focal and site leader during a quality concern involving a facility in the northern region
  • Ensure that organizational systems and training are in place and are enforced
  • Function as a lead for internal and external audits
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action tools on quality issues
  • Ensure that documentation and design controls are appropriate for organization
  • Manage HACCP, GFSI and all certifications at the site
  • Perform risk assessments for each business at the site
  • Assist the management team and provide Quality support, as needed
  • Manage annual qualification testing of manufactured products, where needed
  • Oversee Compliance to all pertinent regulations including FSMA, GFSI, USP, BP, JP and FCC monographs

Regulatory Management:

  • Drive continuous improvement within all regulatory and certification requirements
  • Manage external review and required testing for incoming raw materials and finished product
  • Manage regulatory audits and address any non-conformities that may result
  • Oversee compliance to all pertinent regulations including FSMA, GFSI, USP, BP, JP and FCC monographs
