Job Title: Quality Engineer

Shift: Day Shift

Pay Rate: $65,000-$75,000 depending on experience

Job Type: Direct Hire

The Quality Engineer is responsible for assisting in the development and maintenance of the company's quality system to assure that all products manufactured meet customer specifications and achieve superior quality and reliability levels.

Job Duties:

  • Develops and implements quality programs to ensure conformity of purchased material and final products to quality standards
  • Develops all documentation required to qualify all new or revised products and processes
  • Assists in the maintenance and development of ISO 9000 procedures. Assists staff in audit procedures and preparation
  • Develops and recommends procedures to achieve superior quality and reliability for new and revised products
  • Revises and updates the quality assurance manual as necessary
  • Performs research and functions as a reference source for staff and manufacturing
  • Recommends and develops training programs for a plant wide quality assurance; recommends and develops testing/toleration procedures and standards
  • Develops and maintains a supplier quality index utilizing S.P.C.; Meets with vendors,customers,quality representatives, and internal staff to discuss and resolve quality problems and issues as necessary
  • Participates in scrap and rework reduction programs
  • Prepares all necessary reports as required by customers and staff
  • Prepares and represents the company necessary in all quality related audits
  • Responds to special assignments from the Quality Manager
  • Assists Quality Assurance Department and other departments to establish compliance to ISO 9000 compliance
  • Works on customer related quality problems
  • Performs and is responsible for other duties and functions as delegated, directed and necessary


  • Degree from an accredited college or university, in engineering or similar technical field
  • A thorough knowledge of quality assurance procedures, operations, equipment and methods including statistical analysis, precision measurement, industrial practices, statistical process control (S.P.C.), total quality management (T.Q.M.), DOE and ISO 9000
  • Must be able to read micrometers and blueprints
  • Must be familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point
  • At least four to six years experience in quality assurance engineering or supervision in an injection molding operation, with direct responsibility for overall quality engineering
  • At least 1 year of experience in an ISO regulated environment;
  • At least 4 years experience in quality engineering role 
  • Experience with Minitab, as well as Lean or Six Sigma certification is strongly preferred
