Job Title:             Quality Engineer

Status:                 2 month contract

Job Location:     Chelmsford, MA

This role is with one of the leaders in scientific technologies. This role will provide quality assurance expertise and hands-on support to the Water Analysis Instrument manufacturing site in Chelmsford, MA.   The Quality Engineer will partner with Operations and the rest of the QA Team to drive continuous improvement of product quality and customer satisfaction through effective application and enhancement of the established quality management system and systematic monitoring and analysis of identified quality indicators. 

What You'll Get to Do:

  • Participate in the Batch Release process through product inspection and Batch Record Review
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis of product complaints, product failures and process deviations, driving to effective corrective action and risk mitigation
  • Monitor and analyze process yield information to capitalize on opportunities for improvement
  • Lead and/or participate in process improvement projects
  • Lead and/or contribute to product/process change projects
  • Review and update department procedures as needed
  • Manage the site Corrective Action system ensuring timely and effective completion

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of experience as a Quality Professional in a technical manufacturing environment or applicable education focused on related topics
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline or comparable demonstrated skills and aptitude.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Capacity to work independently and to influence those over which you have no direct authority

Experience in a ISO 9001 environment would be beneficial
