Volt's client, a manufacturing conglomerate, is looking for a Quality Engineer for their facility in Monroe, NC. It is an estimated 12 months long contract position. This is an immediate requirement.
Basic Qualifications:
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Following the Zero Defects Initiative (ZDI), perform the following:
a. Collection of failure data from sources such as Scrap, Rework, Warranty, Customer Complaints, Capability Studies.
b. Update PFMEA based on analysis of data collected.
c. Perform line by line of updated PFMEA review on the production line.
d. Update CP and Operator Instructions based on Risks Identified.
e. Develop, validate and implement error-proofing techniques to mitigate risks identified in PFMEAs.
• Manufacturing Engineer - Ability to develop and implement mechanical and electrical testing to quickly identify defects, and digital programming and visualization solutions to mitigate High Risk issues identified in ZDI.
• Quality Engineer – ability to effectively facilitate and participate in PFMEA reviews, conduct Measurement System Analysis (MSA), gauge Capability Studies, and process capability studies on processes/equipment, and communicate results to management both verbally and in writing.
• Participate in QA meetings
• In-depth understanding of statistical methods.
