Job Title: Quality Inspector

Location: Beltsville, MD

Employment Type: 12 month W-2 contract- Likely conversion for high performers

Pay Rate: $18.50/hour to $22.25/hour

Job Summary and Duties:

A Volt client's quick react team is in need of someone who will roll up their sleeves, handle multiple types of aerospace hardware, and perform the required verification of product. We are searching for a highly skilled inspector to perform visual inspection of incoming raw materials, EEE parts, bare PWB and miscellaneous hardware items. Handle Electrostatic Discharge Sensitive Devices in accordance with established ESD Control Plan. Verify objective evidence exists with the shipment of the associated hardware items; Certificate of Conformance ( C of C), test data, first article inspection data, etc. conforms to PO requirements. Perform review and verification of flight qualified and ground system electronics in compliance with specifications, engineering drawings and internal AS9100 established procedures. Initiate Non- Conformance Reports (NCR) annotating discrepancies noted. Support quick turnaround manufacturing operations associated to circuit card assembly, surface mount, through hole assembly, heat sink bonding, polymerics, box assembly. cable and harness assembly. Other duties as assigned.

Required certifications and proficiency:

  • NASA-STD- 8739
  • J-STD-001
  • TIP QA
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Computer literate to perform data base entry to complete electronic processing.
