Job Description

Renowned Valencia Aerospace Manufacturer seeks a full time Quality Inspector for the 1st shift.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform complex parts final inspection (Clamp, Line Block, Flip Lock, Elastomer).
  • Perform P&W inspection and put together chem./physical cert, and data package.
  • Perform complex parts final inspection (Clamp, Line Blocks, Flip Locks, Elastomer, Molds, and Die) without supervision. Perform DSQR self-release after obtaining authorization from four of the following: BF Goodrich (Chula Vista), Eclipse, GE, General Dynamics, Hamilton Sundstrand, Honeywell, Middle River - GE, Rolls Royce, Pratt & Whitney Canada.
  • Perform DSQR self-release after obtaining authorization from five of the following: BF Goodrich (Chula Vista), Eclipse, GE, General Dynamics, Hamilton Sundstrand, Honeywell, Middle River - GE, Rolls Royce, Pratt & Whitney Canada.
  • Perform inspection using open set-up on a surface plate to verify complex dimensional characteristics not available with use of standard measuring equipment.
  • Inspect and verify non-conforming parts from internal rejections and customer returns.
  • Complete First Articles, monitor in-process inspection, and complete Final Inspection AS9102 FAIRS.
  • Assemble appropriate documentation package prior to formal MRB disposition.

Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of customer-specific inspection and quality documentation, marking and packaging requirements.
  • Candidate must be proficient with AS9102 FAIR requirements.
  • Have a basic understanding of AS9100 Quality Systems.
  • Understand and apply Geometric Tolerance as outlined in ANSI Y14.5.
  • Must be able to apply shop math and simple trigonometry formulas as required.
  • Demonstrate proficiency and navigation of DSQR Customer website's.
  • Capable of inspecting product from Engineered Elastomer Cell with Assistance.
  • Ability to read blueprints and work instructions.
  • Ability to use and read measuring devices.
  • Strong commitment to performing and producing at the highest level of quality at all times.
  • Must be detail oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Must be able to work effectively and efficiently in a diverse team environment and relate well to others.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with coworkers both in written and verbal communications.
  • Ability to manage individual workflow effectively and improve processes when necessary.
  • Ability to readily adapt to changing requirements.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to problem solve potential issues and perform root cause analysis.
  • Must be able to sustain daily throughput requirements and accuracy of documentation.
  • Must be willing to work overtime when needed.
  • Must be able to adjust work schedule as needed.
  • Must be a US person.

Education/Previous Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an inspector in a manufacturing environment; preferably aerospace manufacturing.
