Job Description

QUALITY MANAGER NEEDED IN SAN DIEGO, CA!!

Quality Control and Reliability Teams ensure product and / or product components comply with specifications and quality standards. They test and inspect products against performance and integrity criteria to ensure product quality and reliability, and to determine the suitability of product release.

Responsibilities & Qualifications:

• Lead and coach the Quality Team • Lead and implement the Quality Strategy for the production facilities • Analyze across locations Customer complaints to identify any commonality • Implement proactive quality and lead problem solving processes within the facility • Lead the deployment and execution of quality objectives, targets, goals, and programs • Develop and implement quality improvement plans, programs and procedures using continuous improvement techniques including statistical quality control, lean concepts and Six Sigma • Change agent to drive cultural change in total quality management that involves employee accountability at all levels within the plant and across functions • Regularly report on quality metrics within the organization and to Senior Management • Interact with key customers in response to quality concerns • Lead both internal and external audits to ensure compliance with industry, regulatory and government standards • Ensure any customer and/or government requirements are implemented throughout the manufacturing processes

Requirements

• Prior experience in operational leadership positions including quality • Proven international multi-site responsibility • Demonstrated ability to implement proactive quality processes • Ability to solve complex problems with solid, repeatable process • Ability to influence and get things done through others without direct authority • Working knowledge of Lean concepts • Working knowledge of AS 9100 and ISO 9001:2008 • Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree, preferably in an engineering discipline •
