Job Description

The Quality Specialist is an entry level role paying $55-60K

Preferably someone with recent aviation-related manufacturing experience.  Tech or Oil/Gas industry in general is not a good fit for this role (different/lower tolerances for Quality)

Under the direction of the Quality Manager participate in operation of quality control program designed to meet all customer and third party requirements, and internal goals established by plant management. This program consists of managing and establishing check points in all operations of the quality system in all the departments, and the auditing procedure and frequency to insure conformance to established procedures. This program will identify trends and recommend corrective action. In addition, areas of excessive cost due to rework, welding or other similar operations will be identified for corrective action.

Investigate quality complaints from customers and establish corrective action by working with Production Departments as required. Assist Quality Manager in conducting plant surveys as required by customers. Assist at meetings in determining rework or salvage methods as may be required and establish corrective action of jobs with excessive scrap. Perform other duties of equal or less complexity as assigned or directed by management. Must know and follow all company and departmental safety rules.


  • BS degree required
  • 4 – 6 years of related Quality experience, Aerospace desirable
  • Thorough knowledge of investment casting processes and quality assurance methods and techniques, materials, metallurgical and ceramic aspects and requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret complicated drawings and specifications
  • Knowledge and use of advanced shop mathematics, QC statistics and formulas
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; specifically Excel
