Job Description

We are looking for a great Quality Supervisor to join our team.

Shift: Day Shift  Monday-Friday 8 hours (but needs to be flexibility to work nights when needed.

This Quality Supervisor will Oversee the day to day operations of the Quality Laboratory and effectively deploys assigned workforce to ensure production goals and schedules are met. 


•Adhere to and enforce food quality standards.
•Identify and proactively lead continuous improvement actions 
•Assist the Quality Manager with quality performance data and key performance indicators.
•Develop, write, and control all quality documentation and policy related to work instruction,procedures.
•Work closely with the Quality Manager to investigate and report any quality related issues at the plant and develop corrective and preventative actions, along with developing new testing procedures, and complete all necessary documentation.
•Utilize various computer applications to compile, record and report test results, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) 
•Ensure quality inspections are performed per established sampling plan on incoming raw materials, work in progress (WIP), and finished goods.
•Create certificates of analysis (COAs).
•Stop unauthorized deviations to SOPs, work instructions, and product specifications.
•Create and/or revise lab work instructions based on customer and production needs.
•Monitor and ensure lab equipment are properly working.
•Understand and enforce all safety policies and procedures. 
•Empower employees to create and implement efficient work practices utilizing the methodologies of 5S, Kaizen, and other Lean manufacturing practices.
•Accountable for maintaining budgeted expenses and inventory 
•Responsible for compliance with food safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)requirements.
•Responsible for reporting issues related to food packaging safety or quality.
•Adhere to applicable pre-requisite programs (PRP) per HACCP requirement.
•5+ years stable work experience in a related manufacturing setting, with 3+ years in a Quality supervisory/leadership role. 
•SQF, HACCP, and chemistry background is a plus.
•Must be able to read and write in English, as well as proficiency in math. HS Diploma or GED required 
•Strong communication skills, ability to speak Spanish a plus.
•Proven leadership/team management skills with the ability to optimize team performance and development.
