Quality Systems Assistant 

Santa Rosa, CA

Monday through Friday –  8:00am-5pm(some flexibility)

Volt Workforce Solutions has an opening for a Quality Systems Assistant position for a large optics manufacturing client based in Santa Rosa, CA. You will be responsible for supporting the Quality Systems Engineering Manager in assigned duties. Great temp to hire opportunity! Come join a fun diverse team, where you make the difference! Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining select areas of Quality Management Systems
  • Participate in and assists in the tracking of initiation and resolution of customer and supplier quality issues
  • Assist in ongoing product reliability testing/chamber qualification testing and compilation of test results.
  • Support the organization and passing of customer audits.
  • Assist in organizing the internal quality system audit program and aid in supplier quality audits.
  • Able to read and follow verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Good analytical problem solving skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Notifies supervisor, Engineering and/or Maintenance if there is an issue.
  • Maintains a neat and organized work station


  • High school diploma required; A.A. degree desired
  • Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience
  • Experience with commercial software tools; Vintara a plus
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Excel (filter, sort, format, formula functions, etc.)
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to accurately manage multi-week and/or month project time frames
  • Understanding of ISO9001
  • Ability to think critically about elements of the Quality System
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; team oriented
  • Highly Detail-Oriented
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results independently or working with others
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work with little supervision
  • Ability to excel in a cross-organizational, cross-cultural, global team environment
  • Handle special assignments promptly and professionally
