Volt has an opportunity for you to become part of a prestigious team of professionals. We are seeking an Quality Technician!  This is a contingent position forecasted for 11 Months in Champaign, IL with John Deere.

As a Quality Engineer working at John Deere’s Technology Innovation Center, you will have front row seats to bringing the digital revolution to the “smart yard”. You will support and sometimes lead projects with complex software challenges that help deliver a “connected experience” for John Deere’s customers. We are looking for an individual who enjoys tackling interesting problems, such as vehicle fleet logistics. Description:

Performs parts assemblies or product appearance dimension and functionality verifications according to inspection plans engineering standards and blue prints for manufactured and purchased material of low to medium complexity. Improves quality activities by using quality systems with a limited scope and depth. (Entry level positions with some knowledge of product functionality engineering specification).

Duties:

Performs parts assemblies or products appearance dimension and functionality verifications according to inspection plans engineering standards and blue prints. Gathers data and prints report analysis to improve or solve problems. Follows-up on the accomplishment of corrective and preventative actions. Assists in reporting and following-up on the disposition of non- conformance material. Performs special investigations of low-medium complexity quality problems to get data find root causes suggest and implement solutions. or engineering changes.

• Plan, design, implement and test system components of various degrees of complexity
• Resolve defects via user testing of apps such as MowerPlus and TractorPlus
• Work closely with other mobile developers, UX staff, product/vehicle engineers, data scientists, and strategic suppliers to deliver connected solutions to market

You should be able to demonstrate experience with:
• Finding and reproducing defects
• Utilizing revision control systems such as GitHub
• Coordinating and supervising cross-functional teams including students
• Writing detailed and descriptive documentation that is easily understood
 

Preferred Experience:
• Experience as a Scrum Master or similar role and knowledge of Scrum Artifacts
• Knowledge of agile practices, patterns and techniques
• Expertise in facilitating discussion and alignment with key stakeholders
• Desire to work in a constantly changing environment
• BS/BA degree or equivalent
