We are seeking an experienced RF System Architect to develop complex radar and electronic warfare (EW) systems.

In this role you will lead design engineering teams and collaborate with marketing and R&D departments to assess the company’s products as well as competitors' upcoming product offerings, analyze new technologies and anticipated needs, and develop new RF systems to satisfy customer requirements.

  • Create radar and EW systems which utilize active electronically scanned array (AESA), phased array and integrated T/R modules.
  • Develop and deliver technical presentations.
  • Participate in technical meetings and industry conferences; maintain and enhance knowledge of emerging technologies.
  • Meet with customers to gain a better understanding of their future needs, discuss and recommend technologies, and develop and propose suitable solutions.
  • Collaborate with marketing and engineering departments, as well as industry partners, to identify and promote advantages of new product offerings. Contribute toward development of standards.
  • Support proposal activities.


  • MSEE (minimum), or PhD in EE (preferred).
  • Experience architecting radar and EW hardware systems in the defense/aerospace industry.
  • Knowledge of RF, microwave, and mmwave radar, EW, comm, sensor, and ordnance systems.
  • Understanding of AESA and phased array radar systems for defense and commercial applications.
  • Knowledgeable of RF/Microwave components and component specifications.
  • Strong working knowledge of system simulation tools (such as MATLAB, ADS, AWR, VSS and SystemVue); ability to perform detailed radar systems analysis and calculations.
  • Understanding of subsystem hardware design: use of compound semiconductor devices to transmit and receive, analog and digital beamforming, phased array antenna design, advanced and developing technologies for GaN technology as used in Radar/EW applications.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, and ability to lead and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Understanding of intellectual property and licensing agreements is desirable.

Knowledge/experience with the following technologies is highly desirable:

  • High efficiency RF power amplifier design,
  • Digital linearization and pre-distortion techniques,
  • Silicon-based Baseband transceivers, DACs, ADCs, Clocking, Digital and Analog functions.
  • High capacity millimeter wave radios.
