Job Description

Software Developer - Cloud Based Product

Assignment can be worked remotely anywhere in the United States.  Would prefer to have candidate near Santa Clara, Delaware, or Colorado.  

This position is to support the ability to increase the integrations capacity for iLab.

General Description

Work with a virtual team that launches new features to customers regularly on its enterprise SaaS platform used by scientists and researchers across the globe daily.

The candidate will be expected to have a broad range of software development experience including system design and large, complex product development utilizing web and cloud architectures. Fluency in one or more common programming languages such as Java, Javascript, C# or C++ is expected.

In-depth technical knowledge and experience is required for the development of .net and web products along with a keen understanding of cloud-based products in an AWS environment. Expertise with AWS managed services S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, and Redshift technologies is highly desired.

You will have a responsibility in all stages of the software development process: development, testing, bug fixing, deployment, enhancements, and performance optimization. This will include:

Tasks and deliveries

* Implementing scalable Web Services

* Writing performant, maintainable code that is easy to read and well-documented

* Writing automated tests to thoroughly validate the correctness of your code

* Working independently and collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-moving team

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar discipline or equivalent

* Demonstrate capability and have at least 2-3 years of professional job experience (ideally with an enterprise SaaS product)

* Software development technologies for .net, C#, C++ and Java, Javascript, Angular

* Experience with Ruby on Rails and strong knowledge of Ruby programming language.

* Microsoft .net design for web-based product development required as well as Database and SQL back end proficiency.

* Development experience utilizing AWS cloud services and architecture running Lambda functions, working with S3 as well as Dynamo and Redshift databases is highly desired.

* A demonstrable track record of successful project implementation.

* Development experience with teams using Agile\Scrum life cycle processes.

* Experience with applications that have continuous deployment/integration testing/release processes

Want Qualifications

* Familiar with gems, Rails web services, and OOP background

* Experience working with GIT

* Experience Ruby Make (Rake) utility

* Experience with Linux terminal and utilities like ssh, tmux

* Experience integrating with SAML 2.0 Identity Providers

* Familiarity with SOLID, DDD, service objects concepts

* Full-stack web development experience a plus

* Experience designing with RSpec & TDD
