We are actively seeking a Research Associate for our client in Durham, NC. This is a great opportunity to work with a dynamic company that is a global leader in the field of in vitro diagnostics.

The duration of the assignment is up to six months.

The Research Associate will participate in timely completion of development and support projects.  The context of the job involves performing routine experiments, with, or under the supervision of more senior R&D staff in BSL 2 laboratories.

  • Perform routine tasks to provide support in performing experimental activities and method development;
  • Assures compliance of procedures to established protocols and quality standards.
  • Applies scientific principles and techniques to tasks and experiments.
  • Responsible for data collection.
  • Participate in the careful execution of protocols.
  • Generates documentation detailing established protocols and procedures in accordance with standards.

Requirements:

  • Understanding of microbiology/Biology;
  • Aseptic technique;
  • Associates degree or higher;
  • Awareness of laboratory safety;
  • Awareness of lab procedures and standard laboratory equipment;
  • Ability to acquire and perform new laboratory techniques;
  • Good communication skills in verbal and written English;
  • Good computer skills (i.e. Excel and MS Word);
  • Good organizational skills.
