Job Description

PCB Designer-

This is a temporary contract work assignment for a senior-level designer.  The successful candidate will be involved in the development of electrical and electronic components, circuit boards, and circuit assemblies for mass spectrometry systems. 

Core responsibilities for this position include:

  • Design and build control boards and electrical systems for R&D prototype systems.
  • PIC microcontrollers, writing PIC (C) code. 
  • FGPA implementations Lattice, Xilinx and Verilog experience preferred.
  • Experience with low noise and mid to high voltage circuits.
  • Analog, digital, and mixed signal board design.
  • Command of basic circuit simulation packages (e.g. SPICE).
  • Ability to create schematics and documentation for boards and systems and support those parts through fabrication.  Mentor DxDesigner preferred. 
  • Layout mixed signal boards and guide layout personnel. Mentor Expedition preferred.
  • Assemble, debug and test prototype electrical systems and boards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or master's in electrical engineering or equivalent.
  • 5+ years' experience in the above core competency areas required, 10 preferred.
  • Ability to work as a member of a larger EE project design team.
