Job Description

One of Volt's customers is looking for a HR Coordinator/Receptionist to join their team in Alpharetta,Ga! This is a hybrid role. The client is a leading telehealth solution company enabling remote physician care anytime, anywhere. 

This position is located in ALPHARETTA, GEORGIA.

Under the general direction of the Human Resources Generalist, the Human Resources Representative manages the day-to-day operations of the Human Resource office. The HR Representative manages the administration of the human resources policies, procedures and programs. The HR Representative carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: departmental development, Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), benefits, compensation and organizational development. Daily office and front desk operations including answering phones, coordinating office needs, greeting visitors and completing administrative tasks in support of the organization.  The front desk receptionist is the first line of contact with those who contact the office, including visitors, customers, and the general public. The position requires a great deal of interaction with people and employees.  This position is part-time and will report directly to the HR Supervisor.

Responsibilities (Specific tasks, duties, essential functions of the job)

  • Perform opening procedures each day
  • The ability to operate a telephone switchboard to answer, screen, and transfer calls as well as make outgoing calls are key elements of the job, as are taking down and relaying messages to coworkers when necessary
  • Greet and respond to all manner of inquiries (in person, by phone, or by other means such as mail or email) from customers, visitors, and the general public, as well as announce visitors and keep a log of office guests
  • Responsible for administrative support duties that include the use of computers, calculators, and fax machines as well as other standard office equipment.  The position requires mastery of typing and proofreading skills (impeccable English skills are a must)
  • Receives, sorts and distributes all incoming mail and the receptionist will also be asked to prepare and process outgoing mail and sign for deliveries that are brought to the office
  • Maintains and monitors lobby, conference rooms and kitchen for cleanliness and stocking of necessary supplies as required
  • Orders food, snacks, coffee, soda and supplies.  Actively review all vendors for best price and service
  • Supports VIP meetings as requested
  • Supports Director, HR and HR Generalist with recruiting activities, including maintaining recruiting updates, coordinating interviews, managing document flow (requisitions, job descriptions, resumes)
  • Assits the HR Generalist with Affirmative Action initiatives and compliance
  • Administers new hire on-boarding process including scheduling new hire orientation with Director, obtaining all new hire paperwork from employee, coordinating IT, building access, business card and supply needs
  • Responsible for employee benefits administration including generating benefits summary, working with insurance broker to ensure enrollments are entered into provider databases, handling employee benefits issues and reconciling monthly benefits statements. Conduct Open Enrollment
  • Maintain personnel records and benefits files, such as new hire information forms, promotions, transfers, and terminations
  • Administering the quarterly TPO/MBO program, Annual Performance Review and stock option award processes including the collection of all needed documents and signatures
  • Maintenance of online employee database ensuring all employee data is correctly entered into the company HRIS system.   Including making all changes, entering new hires and terminating employees

  • Strong interpersonal communications skills required
  • Ability to multitask and learn new concepts quickly
  • Thorough understanding of ITH culture
  • Strong desire to succeed while providing excellent customer service
  • Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and HR Online
  • Excellent follow up and problem solving skills
  • Minimum 2 years in Human Resources or equivalent experience
  • BA or equivalent business experience
  • Must have good coping skills in order to stay focused, calm and cool while juggling multiple demands and deadlines
  • Junior level HR experience a plus
