Job: Receptionist

Our client has a need for an Receptionist in Twin Falls, Idaho. This is a temporary position and is offered through Volt Workforce Solutions.

Job Summary:

This receptionist is responsible for acting as the face of the company to screen calls and assist walk-in customers in a lobby environment. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receive research and respond timely to walk-in, telephone, and email correspondence inquiries from current or potential individual or group members, administrators and IPs. 
  • Educate and answer questions regarding member benefits, applications and claims escalating when assistance is needed by other areas as defined by established protocols.
  • Accept and review incoming documents such as: reinstatement requests, appeals, claim submission, cobra/other applications, ach forms, etc. directing to the appropriate department.
  • Triage incoming traffic and interface with Sales, Medicare Advantage, and other Departments.
  • Accept and process payments from individuals and groups researching when needed.
  • Conduct payment reconciliation activities according to policy and procedure.
  • Accept and review new individual and/or group applications to ensure accuracy prior to processing or referring to Enrollment and Billing and or the Underwriting Department according to established policy and procedure.
  • Facilitate the renewal process including processing of rate level appeals and presentation of program options to retain business.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of individual and/or group products, Enrollment and Billing processes, Underwriting guidelines, State and Federal regulations that impact the healthcare industry. 
  • Comply with HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) standards as appropriate to safeguard and protect customers’ personal and private health information.
  • Maintain inventory of all office supplies, the most current version of group, individual sales literature and applications for district office use. Distribute supplies to IPs as requested.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Intermediate level in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word)
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
  • Knowledge of Medicare Advantage preferred
