REGIONAL SERVICE MANAGER/SENIOR UPS TECH ROLE 

Reports To:  Technical Service Manager                               Department:  Service

Is Location:  Sterling, VA

Position Description (General role information, job purpose, main objective)

The Regional Service Manager is responsible for managing the maintenance and repair of all critical power equipment under contract which are designated within the reference region.  This individual teams with the Technical Service Manager and multiple cross-functional departments to achieve the optimal functioning level for the company.  The Service Manager ensures complete operability at all times.

Duties & Responsibility: (Scope of the role, day to day activities, expected outcomes)

  • Manages the team of individuals responsible for the timely maintenance and repairs of all critical power equipment to ensure full operability 24/7, ultimately increasing profitability for the organization.
  • Prioritizes and delegates work order requests to Service Technicians; oversees each job is performed at a high level of skill and with optimal customer service.
  • Establishes and maintains key business relationships with a diverse network of vendors around the region. Directly handles all vendor-related functions, including invoice audit and approvals.
  • Leads, trains, and guides direct reports and ensures the appropriate resources are available to perform their job.
  • Assesses current Facility Services processes and programs and recommends solutions to improve operability.
  • Maintains knowledge of local, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Accomplishes customer service human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Ensure to address complaints and resolve problems.
