Job Description:

Volt Workforce Solutions is seeking a Regulatory Affairs Associate located in Maplewood, MN. The individual hired for this position will have the opportunity to work with our clients Product Stewardship Team supporting product regulatory compliance and creation/update of documents for hazard communication and life cycle management.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Creating, managing, and maintaining Hazard Communication documents which includes: Safety Data Sheets, Safety Labels, Safety Inserts, and Reg Data Sheets for new and existing internal materials and industrial products
  • Assist global customers with product EHS&R inquiries
  • Assist national laboratories and manufacturing plants with TSCA compliance
  • Working with manufacturing facilities to obtain formulation, composition and regulatory information
  • Performing routine regulatory tasks for new and existing material and products
  • Support compliance with corporate policies through implementation of division procedures
  • Identify training and communication strategies
  • Create major EHS processes or systems (e.g. compliance, auditing, incident response)
  • Assemble and lead investigative teams to address serious EHS incidents and develop reaction/resolution plans

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of three (3) years of chemistry experience in a private, public, government and/or military environment
  • Comfortable with the Microsoft suite of computer programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and database tools
  • Punctuality and regularity of attendance
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and willing to learn new technology and responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Chemistry with emphasis on inorganic chemistry, material science, chemical engineering, technical or life science
  • Experience using Chemical Data Management System (CDMS)
  • Experience in product EHS&R, including OSHA Hazard Communication, US and global chemical control laws
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Project management experience
