Job Description

VOLT’s client is looking for a Release Coordinator

This is an estimated 1 year+ Contingent/Temporary position in Spokane, WA. This is offered through Volt Workforce Solutions. We are among the largest IT staffing companies in the US for contract/temporary and direct hire placements and support many of the top-rated IT companies in the US!

Responsibilities:

  • Work side-by-side with Product Owners, Release Manager, and Environment Manager, assisting them with various duties tracking, managing and reporting team activities, throughout active projects and development environments
  • Maintain relationships with stakeholders and resources
  • Interface with business management and staff related with projects
  • Communicate environment and release status, planned and changing dates, to project groups and other business units and identify / resolve potential collisions
  • Prepare project status and budget reports for presentation to stakeholders.
  • Track and drive initiatives towards desired results
  • Update and manage team SharePoint sites.
  • Occasional after hours work to coordinate software release events and activities (support/alternate for Release Manager)

Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor degree
  • Software development life-cycle experience
  • Superior communication skills (verbal and written) required
  • Excellent soft skills and an ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Good understanding and/or experience with the project life-cycle
  • Experience managing or assisting with PM activities in all phases (Initiation, Planning, Execution, Closure) within a technical environment
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, Word
  • Detail oriented individual who can synthesize information into actionable reports

  • Demonstrated ability to track and drive issues
  • Displays notable soft skills, emotional intelligence and analytical judgment abilities
  • Indicates knowledge of business and organizational awareness
  • Prioritizes stakeholder partnership, relationship management and dynamic communicative methods
  • Demonstrates agility for learning, researching, adapting and responding to change
  • Exhibits ownership and commitment to achieving goals, objectives and business-oriented results
  • Capable of facilitating and interacting with a team of diverse personas and communication styles
  • Assists stakeholders in priority conflict resolution and facilitates communication among stakeholders
  • Prior Q/A experience
  • Prior experience with Computer Associates Clarity PPM
  • Prior experience working with an ALM tool for work management, such as JIRA, VersionOne, or TFS
  • Financial forecasting and budgeting background is highly desirable
  • Prior experience as Scrum Master or on agile team
