Now Hiring Experienced Repair Technician Level II

Job Description:

Troubleshoots and repairs conductivity instrumentation to ensure adherence to established performance levels and product quality by:

  • Diagnosing electronic SMT and through-hole PCBA’s to the component level using test equipment and schematics.
  • Documenting and verifying problems and actions taken.
  • Providing written estimates of repair costs to the Customer Service Department.
  • Documenting findings and actions taken in computer spreadsheets.
  • Inspecting and calibrating repaired instruments.

Reports to the Repair Department Supervisor. 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Electronic Background – Must have 3-5 years experience in diagnosing and repairing SMT and through-hole components. Must read and understand schematics and drawings.
  • Problem-Solving Skills – It often takes several steps to diagnose a problem with an electronic component.  This position requires an individual who is detail-oriented and well versed on how to identify and provide solutions to electronic equipment issues and breakdowns.
  • Mechanical Skills – Must be proficient in hand soldering SMT and through-hole components using both leaded and lead-free solder.
  • Electronics Equipment – Must be able to skillfully operate bench test equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital volt meters, signal generators, and power supplies.
  • Computer Proficiency – Proficient with MS Office applications.
