Job Description

Volt is hiring a Resident Manager in the 92101 area!!!

We are looking for an experienced Resident Manager to oversee operations at one of our San Diego, CA properties. This property includes a supportive housing component with units designated for frail seniors and transitional age youth.

Position Summary

As an effective Resident Manager, you have strong leadership skills, an understanding of low-income populations, and experience working with residents in supportive housing.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the property including physical maintenance, administrative tasks, maintaining positive resident relations and adhering to all applicable rules and regulations.

Job Details

  • $18-$21/hr
  • Temp-to-hire
  • Once transitioned over, the position comes with a rent-free 1-bedroom apartment.


• Advertise vacancies and interview potential residents

• Coordinate resident association meetings and resident activities

• Collect rent and serve late notices if necessary

• Ensure proper annual resident re-certification procedure

• Maintain office filing system

• Keep inventory of office and maintenance supplies

• Supervise maintenance and office staff

• Supervise work of contractors and vendors

• Conduct regular inspections of common areas

• Perform maintenance and janitorial tasks as needed

• Work with onsite team and local service organizations to provide appropriate resident services


• Experience in low income/affordable housing property management

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Great organizational skills and attention to detail

• Valid CA driver’s license Preferred

• Experience in supportive housing property management

• Certification in Residential Apartment Management

• HUD and tax credit experience

• Knowledge of property maintenance and physical upkeep requirements

• Bilingual
