Job Description

Volt is looking for a Robotics Technician for our client in Moreno Valley, CA. The suitable candidate will works and collaborate to address product development, process improvements, and/or technical administrative processes. Provides technical assistance with robots to Managers, Group Leads, Supervisors and Team Members.

  • Design and maintain automated robotic systems
  • Knowledgeable in mechanical repair, electric circuit design, and computer programming
  • Diagnosing and repairing robotic breakdowns or malfunctions
  • Program robotic equipment
  • Provide technical support for robotic systems
  • Advise customers on the use of products or services
  • Review or approve designs, calculations, or cost estimates.
  • Evaluate designs or specifications to ensure quality
  • Install, calibrate, operate, or maintain robots.
  • Calibrate scientific or technical equipment
  • Install production equipment or systems
  • Process or interpret signals or sensor data.
  • Integrate robotics with peripherals, such as welders, controllers, or other equipment.
  • Create back-ups of robot programs or parameters.
  • Maintain operational records or records systems
  • Document robotic application development, maintenance, or changes.
  • Plan mobile robot paths and teach path plans to robots
  • Analyze and evaluate robotic systems or prototypes.
  • Evaluate characteristics of equipment or systems.
  • Design software to control robotic systems for applications such as manufacturing.
  • Conduct research into the feasibility, design, operation, or performance of robotic mechanisms, components, or systems, such as planetary rovers, multiple mobile robots, reconfigurable robots, or man-machine interactions

Required Qualifications: 

  • Must be proficient with programmable logic controllers, electronics schematics, programming and functionality.
  • Must be proficient with use of diagnostic tools including but not limited to oscilloscopes and multimeters.
  • Work well under pressure to minimize factory downtime and fix problems immediately.
  • Associate’s Degree (degree in robotics or automation technology highly desired and preferred).
  • 2-4 years of experience in robotics
  • Proficient in computers and analytics
