***Tech Support - Temp Opportunity 6+ Months***

Retirement Plans Department

Located in the Heart of Downtown Portland

***Pay Rate $21 Per Hour***

Our Client is a $2.8B Insurance company committed to expedient, personal customer support. We are currently filling the need for three Tech Support temps for their Retirement Plans Department in Portland, OR.   Work hours to be determined – shifts available are between 5 am – 5 pm.

Job Functions:

  • Support Retirement Plan Contact Center agents in resolving medium to high complexity technical issues being reported by participants (callers).
  • The position is essentially providing tech support to Retirement Plan Reps (not customers).
  • Assist via Skype (chat) with problem solving (ie: having the customer clear their computer’s cache, finding out what web browser they are using, whether the customer is attempting to login on a desktop vs tablet vs phone, unlocking account, getting log in info, etc.)
  • Assisting in a high-volume environment with 2 – 3 chat sessions with Retirement Plan Reps at the same time.

Demonstrated Skills:

  • 1 to 2+ years related work experience with emphasis in Tech Support is preferred.
  • Self-starter with strong sense of urgency and customer service focused.
  • Critical thinking – know how to troubleshoot using multiple systems in situation that don’t always look the same.
  • Supporting users who often have a hard time articulating the issue and are not tech savvy; knowing when to escalate to higher level IT personnel.
  • Ability to work with MS Windows, Excel and Word.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and coordinate work assignments.
  • Communicate and interact with persons at all levels in the organization, industry and community.
  • Detail oriented and organized.
  • Professional demeanor with a positive attitude.
  • Exercise independent judgment and maintain confidentiality.
  • Pre-employment screenings are required for this position.
