EHS Analyst

Every day at our client one idea always leads to the next, igniting momentum to make progress possible around the world. They are currently looking for an EHS Analyst for a long term assignment.

Job Summary:
To assist and coordinate the implementation of environmental, health and safety (EHS) programs for manufacturing plant to ensure compliance to plant, federal and state government regulations. To monitor and evaluate EHS issues and problems and report results to management. To assemble, maintain and submit accurate EHS records which meet government and internal requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Coordinates the implementation of EHS programs for manufacturing plants.
• Provides technical support to engineers by inspecting and testing equipment and processes to identify process needs or controls.
• Assist in the collection of air samples and noise levels and reports results to management.
• Provide recommendations and improvements in the areas of ergonomics in work units.
• Assists engineers in conducting regular inspections of manufacturing site. Work with employees and supervisors to determine and evaluate employee EHS issues, problems and concerns.
• Serve as an EHS committee team member. Assist in conducting new employee orientation by providing EHS training.
• Assist with routine Industrial Hygiene (noise and air) monitoring. Performs other duties as assigned.
• This position will assist the Waste Management Coordinator regarding all waste at the Flemington facility.
Formal Education/Field of Knowledge: Post-high school specialized safety/environmental technical job skills training or an apprenticeship program or equivalent experience through training.

Experience/Proficiency Level: In addition, at least 1 year of related job experience are generally required. At an intermediate level of proficiency, the employee works independently on assignments of standard difficulty.

Job Skills/Competencies: The employee primarily uses administrative skills to monitor and implement company safety/environmental data, interpret and apply policies, or produce standard reports. Also required are coordinating, communication and basic leadership skills.
