Job Title: Safety Training Coordinator 

Location: Milwaukie, OR

Job Description: Distribution Center resource responsible for assessing the safety training needs of Warehouse Workers, Drivers, and Building/Fleet/Material Handling Equipment maintenance employees; determining how to most effectively deal with training needs; and managing the delivery of training programs to meet those needs in regards to safety. The incumbent will also coordinate all activities associated with OSHA, safety communications, and safety programs required to maximize employee training and compliance.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Knowledgeable with OSHA regulations and safety practices
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills, proficient in Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written and oral communications, planning/organization, and coaching skills and the ability to interact effectively both one-on-one and in a group

Desired Skills:

  • The position will require that the incumbent be innovative in developing, identifying and conducting safety training programs that effectively satisfy training needs to ensure a safe operating environment at the distribution center.
  • Previous training experience is desirable
