***Sales Administrator***

Summary

The Sales Administrator will perform a variety of administrative duties in support of the Sales Department. Works with other departments to identify and proactively improve on processes and procedures. Coordinates between internal departments at various levels on own initiative. Responsible for complete Customer communication and makes decisions with limited or no supervision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for major accounts.
  • Responsible for order entry of all purchase orders received; maintain responsibility through all customer requests and update data as necessary
  • Correspond with customers with respect to receipt of order, prices, shipping information, clarification of requirements, and any other information as needed
  • Assist in the preparation of price quotes and in the preparation of purchase agreements and contracts
  • Provide sales support to facilitate the sales efforts while providing support to new and existing accounts and customers
  • Responsible for managing key customer portals to download purchase orders, forecast information and any other information as needed
  • Interface with Production Control, Purchasing, Quality and Shipping/Receiving in an effort to expedite (as required) and deliver an “on time” product
  • Assist the Business Unit Manager with customer questions and resolving or escalating customer issues; provide timely, accurate, competitive responses to customer’s requests for price, lead-time, technical information, and various other inquiries
  • Presents a competent and composed demeanor, representing the company with professionalism  to all stakeholders (including but not limited to applicants, employees, contractors, vendors, and customers) to successfully advance the interests of the company
  • Follows all environmental health and safety policies and procedures, models safe work practices
  • Employee is responsible for contributing to and supporting a positive and respectful workplace environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned 

Education and/or Experience

  • Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree is highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of State and Federal requirements and regulations
  • Knowledge and experience in a professional business environment, preferably aerospace
  • Two years’ previous experience in a similar role

International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) Requirements

  • Must be a United States Person
  • ITAR defines a U.S. Person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder), Political Asylee or Refugee

Knowledge/Skills

  • Strong people skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers in writing, over the telephone, or in person
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of ERP systems
  • Strong focus and attention to detail
  • Time management and organizational skills; ability to prioritize and multi-task in a complex, fast-paced business environment
  • Excellent problem solving and decision making skills
  • Strong focus on customer service
  • Ability to quickly master new business knowledge and technical skills
  • Ability to work successfully both independently and as part of a team
