Job Description

Volt has partnered with a leader in the design and manufacture of technologically advanced commercial HVAC systems to find a Sales Applications Engineer.

The position is based out of Phoenix Arizona, and responsibilities include:

Provide technical expertise on company products to sales representatives in the selection and application of business unit products to fulfill specific field requirements. Provide strategies on how to position the product to effectively compete in the marketplace. Interact with customers to effectively demonstrate the value of company product lines. Provide leadership and direction to Marketing applications organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Provides timely support and technical guidance to field marketing requests in areas of product selection, pricing, and application.

Assists in product/system training and literature support development marketing assignments on a directed basis.

Keeps informed on new products and competitive models in the marketplace. Communicates and provides feedback to product management for product services requirements not met by current product line

Provides team support in project negotiations in regard to strategy and tactics.

Develops, recommends, implements, and maintains approved data record systems to provide a marketing resource database.

Performs other related duties as assigned or requested

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Engineering or a related technical field from four-year college or university; with seven or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Math Ability:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Internet software and Database software.
