Job Description

Volt Workforce Solutions has a fantastic, career-growth opportunity that can lead to a Project Manager role or even a Business Development Manager role.  This is for our sister company that specializes in engineering and manufacturing support services that will be based in our Peoria, Illinois offices

The Sales Support Specialist is responsible producing proposals, statements of work, coordinate and execute marketing plans and provide overall coordination of online social communities for the sales organization. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Create all proposals that contain opportunity specific information for our existing customers to develop common language that represent the division. 
  • Work with Director of Sales and Marketing to execute marketing plans for lead generation and market penetration.
  • Ensure all employees are maximizing social network to gain market penetration, attract talent and provide educational and career services for our client’s community.
  • Meet with supervisor and inside staff on a regular basis to communicate business/sales opportunities. 
  • Provide information on customers or prospects for bids and proposals within assigned territory.
  • Develop and expand competency by continuing education and participation in training and seminars. 
  • Provide regular and ongoing feedback to Sales Management to refine sales messaging and techniques. 

Position Qualifications: Any combination of education and experience providing the required skills and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. 

Typical qualifications would equivalent to: Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in English, Composition, Marketing or comparable field preferred.  Experience in a services industry or sales environment would be preferred. Previous experience researching, developing, servicing, supporting, and generating inside sales. Knowledge & Skills:

Effectively communicate in writing. Effectively communicate verbally including by telephone. Effectively communicate in-person with internal staff, external customers and field employees. Must be proficient in software packages including MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio (preferred not required)Core Competencies:

  • Ability to work in office environment.
  • Ability to arrive to work at a specified time.
  • Possess strong customer service skills with a winning personality
