VOLT has an opportunity for you to become part of a prestigious team of professionals. We are seeking an SAP Tester to work onsite at our client’s facility in Mossville, IL. This is a contingent position expected to last approximately 36 months. (No C2C)

Candidate Responsibilities

This position is part of the application development and support team for Validation Information Management at Caterpillar.

This individual will work with multiple development teams and projects in an Agile Software Development methodology environment. The responsibilities are diverse and daily tasks will vary, however the main responsibility will be Quality Assurance testing of web application features, bug fixes, updates, and new products.

Typical Day

• Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results • Evaluate product code according to specifications • Review and analyze system specifications • Develop effective strategies and test plans • Create logs to document testing phases and defects; Report bugs and errors to development teams; Help troubleshoot issues • Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle

Education Requirement
• bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or comparable curriculum and 5+ years’ work experience in quality assurance background.


Technical Skills
Required: • Ability to document and troubleshoot errors • An interest or background in the software development process, computers, and solving problems using code. Desired: • Experience developing and maintaining Coded UI tests using Selenium libraries or another software/framework. • Experience with the following technologies: ColdFusion, Adobe Flex, ASP.Net, C#, SQL/Oracle JavaScript (jQuery, Knockout), TFS, issue tracking/development software, Visual Studio, Eclipse, SQL Developer.


Soft Skills
• Strong attention to detail, Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude • Candidate must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, have a passionate customer focus, and have demonstrated analytical skills.
