The Program Director has the responsibility of maximizing the penetration of VCG services into their assigned client resulting in a profitable program and a satisfied client. This is accomplished by thoroughly understanding their clients business needs and then orchestrating the required VCG resources to meet and exceed those needs. This position will require strong relationships at all levels of the organization and will need to create value added links between their clients and Volt Senior management team. This position will be responsible for the sales, profitable delivery, strategy and operation functions for their clients.

Develop business through a combination of methods that may include all or in part: research, lead generation, prospecting, networking and in-person appointments with new, reactivated and existing customers. Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and develop staff in an effort to create strong team members that share the vision for the client and are engaged in the success of that client. Maintaining an active role in developing new and profitable outside sales while consulting with customers on industry leading talent and technology service solutions.
Essential Functions:

  • Leadership responsibility for the Volt Operational team working for the program.
  • Develop business through a combination of methods that may include all or in part: research, lead generation, prospecting, networking and in-person appointments with new, reactivated and existing customers
  • Monitor, supervise and participate in ensuring Volt products are being delivered in a profitable and satisfactory way to meet our client's needs.
  • Manage the day-to-day activity and effectiveness of the Account Management Team
  • Maintain strong partnerships with Volt product lines communicating client service priorities and business opportunities
  • Maintain strong partnerships with Volt Product Managers to ensure new products reflect the needs of their clients
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and satisfaction of field employees with our service
  • Maintain responsibility for the Volt Consulting's Profit & Loss (P&L) at accounts assigned. Coordinate expenses and variable overhead items. Prepare and work with an annual budget
  • Manage payroll, database, collection and accounts/payable functions effectively
  • Complete or oversee daily, weekly and monthly reporting, paperwork, and correspondence in a timely and accurate manner
  • Interface with Volt corporate departments including the District Accounting office on payroll, billing and aging functions
  • Handle general Human Resources functions such as compensation, wage and salary, fair employment practices and other regulations regarding employment including performance reviews, disciplinary actions and terminations of in-house employees
  • Participation in networking organizations
  • Perform functions of any staff position as necessary to achieve goals
  • Complete timely data. Maintain consistency and integrity of data
  • Additional tasks as needed and assigned


  • Bachelors degree; marketing, business administration, economics, or finance
  • Experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry
  • Knowledge of how the Security Clearance process
  • 5+ years of business related management for national programs and large accounts, preferably in a service industry company
  • A proven and profitable track record in management and/or sales management or customer service management in a related field or industry
  • Ability to determine, consult and implement sales and operational delivery efforts
  • Ability to guide, direct and motivate others
  • Demonstrated sound business judgment
  • Business presentation skills
  • Intermediate computer skill level using Excel, Word, Outlook, and the Internet
  • Previous experience servicing, supporting, developing or generating major accounts
