What You'll Do:

The team works to ensure the security of the company systems, operations, and their customers. As a Security Operations Engineer you’ll be a key player responsible for ensuring our operational environments have sufficient protections from security-based threats, visibility into where those protections may fail, and responding to any such incidents. In doing so you’ll be immersed in the company's  cutting-edge operational infrastructure, where you’ll develop tools and systems to identify gaps against security-best practices and implement new systems to ensure compliance with established standards. Although this is a technical role it does not require an extensive security background or education level, provided you're eager to learn and passionate about security.

Here's a closer look at this key role:

  • Maintain responsibility for operational security practices through the identification and evaluation of security measures and controls for our operational environments
  • Develop and manage custom tools to facilitate security monitoring and incident management activities
  • Conduct threat modeling against operational assets and develop counter measures
  • Partner with our operations and systems teams to implement solutions aligned with the DevSecOps philosophy
  • Assist in the development and operations of security solutions – authentication systems, encryption management, vulnerability management, etc. – in support of the company's security and compliance initiative.
  • Consult with customers and prospects on company security environment

What You'll Need:

  • 3+ years’ experience in information technology field either in operations, software development, or information security
  • Solid experience with Linux/Unix operating systems, applications, and networking
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, network administration/protocols and network infrastructure (switches, routers, firewalls, etc.)
  • Strong scripting or programming skills for automating repetitive tasks
